Tuesday A group to combine with B+ group, effective immediately!

May 19th, 2008 · No Comments

With the Iron Horse soon to be in the history books and the college team traveling the country/world on summer vacation, the A group has dwindled to a handful of participants. After getting feedback and comments from a number riders and regulars on the A and B+ rides we have decided to combine the A and B+ rides for the summer, effective immediately!

THIS COMBINED RIDE WILL USE THE B+ SCHEDULE AND WILL MEET AT 5:30! Please change you schedules appropriately. Leaders and participants of the combined ride are asked to split the group if it exceeds 40 riders. The new combined schedule will be on the web as soon as we update the spreadsheet.

The Tuesday May 20th combined A and B+ ride will be meeting at 32nd street and CR. 250 (the old Garrhs) at 5:30 and will be going to Needles and Beyond.

The goal here is to ensure that we have good quality rides that remain at a manageable size throughout the summer. We are also concerned and dedicated to safety and ensuring that we are doing all we can to mitigate any conflicts with motorists. We hope that this change will help keep the rides robust throughout the summer but we will continue to need all participants help with ensuring that these rides remain safe and continue to follow the rules of the road.

We are aware that there will be some challenges to combining these rides. Please be patient and respectful of others. A riders need to respect that there is a core group of B+ riders and you will be joining their ride. For B+ riders we appreciate your openness to this change. Please see this as an opportunity to have new strong riders to challenge the group!

We hope that this will help improve both rides. We are aware that this could cause some trickle down of B+ riders to the B ride and so on. Please try to stick with the group as we make the transition!

Regardless of what ride you are on, please remember we are very lucky to be able to have these rides every week. We need to do all we can to ensure that the rides remain safe and obey the rules of the road. It is important that all participants ride in a courteous manner. It is vital that we respect motorists and allow them to pass our groups in a timely manner!

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,

Michael & Spencer
